My journey into physical therapy

It started at the State University of Londrina, PR, where I graduated in 2021. Since the beginning of my degree, I sought a comprehensive and enriching education. Aware of the diversity of areas of activity in physiotherapy, I chose to voluntarily intern in different specialties to gain varied experiences. At the same time, I joined research groups, where my desire was to deepen my understanding of evidence-based physiotherapy and cultivate critical thinking in relation to therapeutic techniques.

In 2004, with my master's degree completed, I began my academic career, teaching at universities in the physiotherapy department. The following year, in 2005, I started my doctorate in Health Sciences, also in the area of neuroscience. My research continued to explore brain functioning, focusing on mechanisms associated with emotional memory.

My passion for knowledge drove me to seek academic challenges after my graduation. In 2021, I entered the master's degree in Health Sciences at the University of Brasília, focusing my research in the field of neuroscience. I chose neuroscience because I realized that pain was a keyword that permeated all areas of physiotherapy. I wanted to deeply understand the neuroscientific aspects related to pain, emotional memory and the brain areas involved in stress. I believed this understanding would enrich my clinical practice and my ability to help my patients.

My path has been a passionate journey, permeated by curiosity, the desire to understand pain and the dedication to finding effective solutions to improve the lives of those seeking relief. I invite you, reader, to join me on this journey of discovery and innovation in physical therapy, exploring the MPR technique and its transformative potential.
